Show Notes:
Podcasting since 2006, Susan and Dan had a terrible time with scheduling in 2012.
Dan wonders, “Do people still podcast?” A future episode!
Some of their favorites: sailor from around the world in New Zealand (which is referenced at http://www.ltgreenroom.org/episodes/17 although we can’t find the interview clip!)
Susan would like to revisit lurking. MOOCs and back channel technologies like Twitter might influence this. http://www.ltgreenroom.org/date/2006/12
New technologies to explore – Video (it’s a different world) and Pinterest?

You’re back!
Would love to hear your latest take on lurking (I do it all the time – checking things out even if I don’t comment – no time!) Also on the whole MOOC phenomenon.

Would love to know more about the instructional design behind the MOOC. I am hoping to find some time to participate in one this year but am curious to know about how this is managed. As a strong advocate for quality online learning, I have felt that building relationships and providing high quality feedback are very important when delivering an online course. How are these factored into the design of a MOOC? Or is it simply understood that these are not available and we are to sponge up what we are able to?
